Come back and haunt me

Title's from that Coldplay song "The Scientist". I hadn't listened to it in years, and then a couple days ago I got it stuck in my head randomly. Made me think of this assface, and how his character's progressing. 

Granted, he honestly didn't give a shit about a lot of his past partners and saw them as disposable, but there was also a significant portion of them which he genuinely loved at one point or another in time. Dude could just never work up the courage to tell them soon enough, and by the time he was ready to, they had either died or left him, never to be seen again. He's definitely happy with Hawktalon and Bearclaw, don't get me wrong, but he's just been thinking about certain things a lot lately [some of which will certainly be explored once I finish that oneshot lol]. Moreso than he really should, in fact. I dunno, man, he's just elderly and sentimental, as much as he hates to admit it. Also lonely, actually fairly regretful of a lot of his past choices even though he won't exactly admit it out loud, and perpetually horny. 

Also, speaking of things which remind me of Duncan, this reminds me of Dunalon from Duncan's perspective, especially younger!them: www.youtube.com/watch?v=iq2gpw… . He's still not a good man, but, like I've stated before, there was a time where he was even less of a vaguely decent person.
